EPA's charleston vertical farm

The proposal was initiated by the EPA and the Clemson institue of Applied Ecologies, calling for a vertical farm design in the city of Charelston, South Carolina, retro-fit into an existing structure on one of three sites proposed by the EPA. This project juggled between major innovation in design and retro-fitting into a strict historically preserved city. Our proposal for this design centered around a design incoporating breaking edge technology unique to past design attempts, which could optimize the production of vegetation within a city making the idea economically and environmentally friendly.
